1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) form a legally binding agreement between you and UONE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PORTAL - FZCO (UONE, we, us or our) regarding your access to and use of the UONE Academy website, applications, accounts, courses, videos, articles, guides, webinars, mentoring features, community spaces, assessments, certificates and related services (together, the Services).

By creating an account, purchasing a course, starting digital content or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If specific course information, an order page, promotional offer or written agreement contains additional terms, those additional terms apply to that course or purchase. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms prevail to the extent of the conflict.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to create an account or purchase a course. UONE may permit access by a younger learner only with the prior verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian and subject to applicable law.

  • You must provide accurate, complete and current registration and payment information.
  • Your account and login credentials are personal to you and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and must notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised use.
  • We may request reasonable identity, payment or compliance verification before providing or continuing access.
  • You may not use the Services from a jurisdiction where access to or purchase of the relevant content is unlawful or restricted.

3. The Academy Services

UONE Academy provides practical educational and informational content in areas that may include artificial intelligence, blockchain, decentralised finance, crypto assets, trading, marketing, leadership, professional development and wealth-building concepts. Course descriptions, duration, level, included features, access period and price are stated on the relevant course or checkout page.

Course dates, instructors, materials, modules and features may be updated where reasonably necessary to improve quality, accuracy, security or legal compliance. We will not materially reduce a paid course without providing a reasonable substitute, continued access to the material already purchased, or another remedy required by applicable law.

Any certificate issued by UONE records completion of the relevant UONE course only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not an academic degree, professional licence, regulatory approval or guarantee of employment, promotion, income or professional competence.

4. Educational purpose and financial risk warning

All content is provided solely for general education and information. UONE is not acting as your broker, investment adviser, portfolio manager, fiduciary, tax adviser, legal adviser or financial planner. Nothing in the Services is a personalised recommendation, trading signal, solicitation or offer to buy, sell or hold any security, virtual asset, commodity or other financial instrument.

You must make your own decisions and, where appropriate, obtain advice from an independently authorised professional who understands your circumstances. Examples, demonstrations, opinions, strategies, market commentary, model portfolios, simulated results and references to past performance are illustrative only and are not promises or reliable indicators of future results.

Important risk warning

Crypto assets and trading are highly volatile and speculative. Their value may fall significantly or become zero. You may lose all amounts invested, and your investment may not benefit from any deposit guarantee, compensation scheme or other financial protection. Never trade or invest money you cannot afford to lose.

UONE does not guarantee any learning, financial, trading, business, career or other outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, experience, decisions and market conditions.

5. Orders, prices and payment

An order is an offer to purchase the selected Service. A contract is formed when UONE confirms the order or activates access, whichever occurs first. We may decline or cancel an order for a genuine pricing error, suspected fraud, sanctions or compliance concerns, unavailability, or a legal restriction. If we cancel after payment and no Service has been supplied, we will return the amount received using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

  • Prices, currencies, taxes, payment methods and any recurring billing terms are shown at checkout.
  • You authorise UONE and its payment service provider to charge the amount shown at checkout.
  • You are responsible for bank, blockchain, currency-conversion, network and similar charges not expressly included in the displayed price.
  • For subscriptions, charges recur at the stated interval until cancellation. You may cancel future renewal through your account or by contacting us before the next billing date.
  • Discounts, gifts, promotional access and free trials may be subject to additional stated conditions and may be withdrawn in cases of misuse.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Unless a different refund policy is clearly displayed before purchase, you may request cancellation and a refund within 14 calendar days after purchase, provided that you have not completed or accessed more than 20% of the purchased course and have not downloaded substantial course materials. Refund requests must be sent to Compliance@UnitedOne.Global from the email address linked to the account.

Where you ask for immediate access to digital content, you expressly request performance during any statutory withdrawal period. To the extent permitted by applicable law, your statutory right of withdrawal may end once digital content has been fully supplied or after you have expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the resulting loss of that right. No contractual refund is due after the above period or usage threshold, except where content is defective, materially misdescribed, unavailable due to UONE, or applicable law requires otherwise.

For subscriptions, cancellation stops future renewals but does not ordinarily create a refund for a billing period already started. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Licence to use course content

Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, UONE grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access the purchased or included content for your own non-commercial learning during the stated access period. No ownership or intellectual property right is transferred to you.

Without UONE’s prior written permission, you must not:

  • copy, reproduce, record, photograph, screen-capture, download (except where expressly enabled), translate, adapt or create derivative works from course content;
  • publish, upload, stream, broadcast, distribute, sell, rent, license or otherwise make content available to another person;
  • share an account, access link, download, certificate, answer key or assessment material;
  • remove copyright notices, watermarks, access controls or technical protection measures;
  • use course content, instructor likenesses, datasets or materials to train an AI model or create a competing product or service; or
  • use UONE names, logos or trade marks in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without written approval.

UONE and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, platform, branding, course structure, videos, audio, text, graphics, assessments, software and other materials. UONE may use reasonable technical measures, including access logging and personalised watermarking, to protect these rights.

8. Acceptable use and community conduct

You must use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You must not interfere with platform security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or automate access, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, infringe rights, harass others, publish unlawful or misleading material, promote scams, or use community features for unsolicited advertising or recruitment.

If you submit a review, question, comment, assignment or other material, you retain ownership of your original material but grant UONE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display it only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve and promote the Services. UONE will seek separate permission before using your name, image or testimonial in identifiable external marketing, unless you have already chosen to publish it publicly through a feature designed for that purpose.

9. Availability and third-party services

The Services may rely on third-party hosting, video, communications, analytics, authentication and payment services. Links to external websites or services are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement. UONE is not responsible for a third party’s independent content, availability, security, products or terms.

We aim to provide reliable access but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, upgrades, security incidents, internet failures or events beyond reasonable control. UONE will use reasonable efforts to restore materially affected paid Services.

10. Suspension and termination

UONE may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, account sharing, infringement, unlawful conduct, security risk, sanctions or compliance obligations, material breach of these Terms, or risk to other users or the platform. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach. Immediate action may be taken for serious or repeated misconduct.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations, intellectual property rights, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability provisions or other clauses intended to survive termination.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and content are provided on an “as available” basis. UONE does not warrant that all content will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for your individual objectives. You remain responsible for verifying information before acting on it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UONE is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data, goodwill, investment value or trading loss arising from use of or reliance on the Services. UONE’s total aggregate liability arising from a particular paid Service will not exceed the amount you paid UONE for that Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

The exclusions and cap do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of obligations that cannot legally be limited, or any mandatory consumer remedy. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are described in the UONE Academy Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit about another person is lawful and that you are authorised to provide it.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai. Subject to any mandatory right of a consumer to bring proceedings elsewhere, the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.

Before starting formal proceedings, you and UONE should first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by written notice describing the issue and requested solution. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, particularly to protect intellectual property, confidential information or platform security.

14. General provisions

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations without UONE’s consent. UONE may assign these Terms as part of a genuine reorganisation, merger or transfer of the Academy business, provided this does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

UONE may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or service changes. Material changes will be notified by a reasonable method before they take effect. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights in a completed purchase unless required by law or accepted by you.
